Back to School BBQ !

Please join the PTA as hosts of this annual town event on Tuesday, Aug 25th from 4:00-7:00pm at the Chester Academy Softball Field. Say hello to old friends and make some new ones! The grill will be on and the beverages will be ready! Please consider bringing a salad or a dessert for everyone to enjoy! DJ Sharon Mulrennan will be sharing her music and showing us the latest dance steps! Please join us for this celebration of the new school year.

2011 PTA Fall Fundraiser (Magazine Drive + Entertainment Book Sale)

Please save your magazine renewals or new subscriptions for our fall magazine drive. Forty percent of all magazine sales go directly to fund all of the wonderful PTA programs and events. Please consider purchasing an Entertainment Book too. There are lots of great savings!

Halloween Party

Please join us at the town offices multi-purpose room on October 28th from 6:00-8:00 for a Halloween celebration. All children through grade 4 are welcome to come dressed in Halloween costumes and participate in fun games. Chester residents only please!

Holiday Shop N Wrap

Mark your calendars! Holiday Shop N Wrap is Friday, Dec 2th from 6:00-8:00pm. Students will have the opportunity to purchase Holiday gifts for family and friends. Tables will be set up in the Chester Academy café with items for purchase. Parent volunteers will be available to assist your child with his/her shopping. Parent volunteers will also be available to gift wrap your child’s items.

Fourth Annual Dad's Chili Cook Off

DADS, How would you like to show off your culinary skills by entering into the PTA's Fourth Annual Dad's Chili Cook Off? Participation is open to any male related to a Chester Academy student. This event will take place on Friday, January 13th in the Chester Academy Cafe. It is FREE to enter! The winner will have his name engraved on the 1st place trophy and gets to keep the trophy at home until next year's cook off. Event promises to be great fun!

Family Bingo Night

Please come and enjoy a fun time for the whole family on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00pm in the Chester Academy cafe. Bingo sheets are only $.50 ($.25 for PTA members) and there will prizes for the kids and refreshments for everyone.

Family Monarch's Night

This event is open to all Chester families so that moms can take their sons or the entire family. Date TBD

Mother/Son Dance

Please come enjoy an evening of music with DJ Sharon Mulrennan, have a professional photo taken, and enjoy some light refreshments on Friday, March 16th from 7:00-9:00pm. More information will be available on how to get tickets as we get closer to the event.

STAR Reader

STAR Reader is a reading incentive program during the months of March, April and May of each school year. Students in grades 1-4 keep track of how many minutes they read every day. Every student that participates will receive a goody bag and the top readers in each grade will receive a special reward.

Bedtime in Chester

Bedtime in Chester is a fun evening on March 22nd for students in grades 3 and below (and their younger siblings) to come to the school in their pajamas to listen to stories read by some of their favorite teachers. This evening is in conjuction with Read Across America week (March 1 - 4) which celebrates the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

2012 PTA Spring Fundraiser (Dance/Auction)

Mark your calendars! Our 6th annual PTA Spring Dance/Auction will be held on Saturday, March 31sr from 6:00 - midnight in the town offices multi-purpose room. More details to follow..........

Teacher Appreciation Month

This month we honor and thank the fabulous teachers and staff at Chester Academy with a variety of activities such as a staff luncheon, a staff breakfast and other fun treats.

Father/Daughter Dance

Please come enjoy an evening of music with DJ Sharon Mulrennan, have a professional photo taken, and enjoy some light refreshments on Friday, May 18th from 7:00-9:00pm. Tickets are free of charge and will be available on a first come first serve basis in the Main Office. This event is open to students in grades 1-8. More information will be available on how to get tickets as we get closer to the event.

Field Day

Field Day will be held on June 8th. This day of fun for the students includes a variety of races, games, competitions and activities for all. Classrooms are organized into teams and games are supervised by parent volunteers.
